How can we find a voice in the modern world?
A real, meaningful, heard, voice. Now when I say real, I mean tangible. When words are said, read out loud or in our minds - and feelings are rising you can almost hold and mold the conversation and connection. That kind of real. Aside from family, friends, maybe a therapist, or a community you're a part of, do you feel heard? And no, a multimillion number of views on a reel from a platform does not count. Before you ask, yes some of those have impacted me positively. But that's because I make it a point to. I write it down. I memorize it. I make it a part of my day-to-day life. It connected with me. However, a majority of these reels are for the quick feels. Like most things these days. I want to create a place where words can build connections. For my book readers, they know what I'm talking about. I hope to bring your heartbeat front and center and gift you the joy of drifting off into your conciseness. Welcome to Wish w/ Wisherd.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If we wrote a list of every word that comes to mind when looking at this picture, I'm certain my list would take a drastic, dark turn. Every person in this life has been dealt a set of cards from birth. Whether it be genetics, environment, finances, etc. We know this, there's really no arguing this. The eighteen-year-old in this picture is my brother. Who was handed a shredded, stained, beat-up hand of cards. While making his own choices on top of it.
Our choices are magical. When a person gains a connection with themselves, the magic grows. Choices blossom. That's where this story begins.
